ebs Associates Inc. Acquires SBA Services Inc.

Combination Provides Industry Leading Portfolio of Products and Services

Portland, Oregon – May 2, 2011 – ebs Associates Inc., a leading provider of business and financial management solutions, today announced the acquisition of SBA Services Inc. ebs Associates will immediately begin to integrate the two companies. The combination of ebs Associates and SBA Services creates a company with the scale and resources to deliver industry-leading financial services to small and medium-sized businesses. As a result of this acquisition, ebs Associates now consists of over 20 employees and 5500 clients.

President and Chief Executive Officer, Denise Loter-Koch says the acquisition is consistent with the company’s long-term business plan. “This acquisition represents a significant step in ebs Associates’ strategy to continuously improve its core offerings: Intuit QuickBooks consulting, training, and support, as well as add the service of providing guest speakers to its clients,“ says Loter-Koch. The added employees, products, and services that will result from this merger will deliver immediate value to both companies’ customers. The acquisition of SBA Services gives ebs Associates the capacity to fully meet customer demand in six locations in the states of Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Arizona.

Dawn Ashpole, founder of SBA Services, believes companies’ parallel missions will make their integration seamless. “While SBA Services, Inc and ebs Associates, Inc have been competitors for years, both of our goals is to make life with QuickBooks easy, understandable and affordable for our customers. Together we will be better.” One of the benefits of joining ebs Associates that Dawn anticipates is the increased customer service. “Having been self-employed for the last twenty-two years I am excited to join ebs Associates, Inc. ebs Associates has a wonderful team of Certified Pro Advisors which will be an added benefit to all of my customers.” she says.

About ebs Associates
ebs Associates was founded in 1982 by owner and CEO Denise Loter-Koch, a former corporate controller with over 30 years of accounting experience. The company has distinguished itself in its industry for its thorough and professional service and top-of-the-line financial products. It caters mainly to businesses with revenues ranging from $50,000 to 30 million dollars, offering a variety of services including QuickBooks and Fishbowl Inventory consulting, tech support, seminars, webinars, setup, implementation, cleanup, project work, financial controller services, full-charge bookkeeping, and payroll services. ebs Associates is also a value added reseller of both Inuit and Fishbowl Inventory product.

About SBA Services

It’s almost that time of year again – W-2′s!

Now is the time to verify that you have the correct information for all of your employee’s. With your next paycheck include a note that asks all employee’s to verify that you have their correct Name, Social Security Number & addresss. It’s much easier to correct now instead of after W-2′s have gone out in January.

If you’re not sure you were given the correct SSI # from your employee’s you can verify them with the Social Security Admin at http://www.ssa.gov/employer/ssnv.htm. You have to log in and then you can verify up to 10 SS#’s at a time.
